Promoting basic research is a prerequisite to Boehringer Ingelheim's research & development mission and an integral part of our social responsibility. We support, award and sponsor several scientific activities conducted by curiosity-driven scientists. Central to success in research and development are scientists who can bridge basic research to science in the pharmaceutical industry.

The Boehringer Ingelheim FENS Research Award for Neuroscience Research

FENSThe Boehringer Ingelheim FENS Research Award recognises young European scientists for outstanding research in the field of neurosciences. The prize is awarded every two years by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim. In endowing this award, Boehringer Ingelheim demonstrates its commitment to basic research in the area of neuroscience as a prerequisite for progress in efforts to discover new treatment options for patients suffering from devastating diseases of the nervous system.
